The project required constructing an inclined elevator with lower and upper platforms over an 80-feet tall 1.3H:1V natural slope, comprised of loose sand. GM2 provided geotechnical engineering services to review contract plans and specifications, and contractor submittals for helical pile foundations. Services also included monitoring the test pile installation, observing a tension load test in accordance with ASTM D3689, and reporting results with recommendations for pile capacity. Global stability analyses were reviewed considering the inclined elevator loading and platforms.
