GM2 is providing comprehensive engineering design and survey services for the resurfacing, bridge rehabilitation, and safety improvements on I-95 from the NY/CT state line into Stamford.  The scope of work encompasses pavement rehabilitation to extend the service life and restore functionality of 7.4-miles of I-95; including 7 interchanges and the rehabilitation of 23 of the 29 existing structures.  While the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has initiated a full public dialog about the ultimate transportation vision and plans for the future transportation needs along the I-95 corridor, the existing infrastructure continues to be strained by up to 154,000 vehicles it serves in this corridor each day. As those discussions and plans for the future continue, CTDOT is committed to preserving the pavement life and restoring functionality, rehabilitating bridges and culverts, and implementing safety improvements along this 7.36-mile congested coastal route to preserve the integrity of this corridor critical to the region and the State’s economic health and well-being.  GM2 is providing comprehensive engineering design services for the resurfacing, bridge rehabilitation, and safety improvements on I-95 from the NY/CT state line into Stamford.  The scope of work encompasses pavement rehabilitation to extend the service life and restore functionality of 7.4-miles of I-95; including 7 interchanges and the rehabilitation of 23 of the 29 existing structures. Work on the project also includes drainage modification and rehabilitation, roadway illumination upgrades and upgrades to weigh-in-motion site.
