GM2 provided structural engineering design services under an Emergency Declaration due to the downgrading in rating for this 12-span steel structure carrying I-95 over the West River. Rehabilitation design entailed partial and full depth deck repairs, and major repair of the structural steel and expansion joints. Due to the high volume of traffic, 125,000 vehicles per day, top-side work was restricted during workday hours.
