Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview: GM2 Associates, Inc is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Tampa, Florida region. The APM will work with project managers on a variety of projects varying in complexity, and manage smaller projects independently with guidance from the PM.  The APM will manage and function as coordinator and project liaison to the client, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders, throughout the project cycle. This position will maintain document control, manage databases and coordinate and track project activities and communications to ensure project goals are accomplished within prescribed time schedules and budget parameters. Travel to project sites or other GM2 branch offices is required. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with engineers, CAD designers, surveyors permitting specialists and contractors Assist in the preparation of and submittal of site plans, permit applications and technical documents Verify Contractor compliance including quality, safety, environmental and environmental material management programs. Facilitate internal and client meetings by scheduling, preparing agendas, and recording comprehensive meeting minutes. Liaise and coordinate with local jurisdictions and regulatory agencies to facilitate permit approvals Track project schedules and milestones using project management software (e.g., Monday application) Support procurement and coordination of third-party services, including surveys, Geotech reports, and specialty vendors (e.g., conveyor and equipment suppliers) Actively contributes to the execution of contracts including change order management / field change directives and management of schedules while adhering to industry best practices. Assist with the development of internal and external reporting including project budgeting, costs reports, project status reports to all stakeholders. Qualifications: Educational - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree from an accredited program. Experience – 2-4 years of experience in civil site development or industrial project coordination. Licenses & Certifications – PMP or equivalent Project Management Certification is preferred Technical Skills & Experience – Experience in MS Project, Procore, Primavera Contract Manager or similar change management software is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with permitting processes and site development standards in Florida is a plus. Project & Client Management - Proven history of successfully managing projects. Experience in maintaining client relationships. Excellent verbal, written communication skills and professionalism with clients. Leadership – Ability to collaboratively work with others at all levels in a multi-discipline team environment through thought leadership with exceptional analytical skills and effective communication skills.

Survey Party Chief

GM2 Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Survey Party Chief.  The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of private and public projects. Responsibilities include performing boundary surveys, existing conditions/topographic surveys, construction layout, ALTA surveys and as-built surveys. Requirements This position requires excellent knowledge of field operations utilizing total station, data collector, levels and GPS equipment.   Additional requirements include a working knowledge of Autodesk 3D, the ability to prepare plans and perform calculations  3-5 years of field experience is required along with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.  Candidates should have good leadership and communication skills with peers and clients.  College degree S.I.T. required.  Must be willing/able to travel and willing to work in an office setting.

Survey Project Manager - PLS/LSIT

Locations: NH, MA, RI Position Overview: GM2 is currently expanding our Survey Teams, and we have open positions of Survey Project Managers within our NH, MA, and RI office locations. The ideal candidate is a team player who will lead complex surveying projects across both design and construction phases within urban environments and large-scale infrastructure. They will thrive on precision, communicate with accuracy, and drive collaboration from proposal through delivery, working closely with clients, field crews, and technical teams. Key Responsibilities: Manage land surveying projects, budgets, and timelines Serve as primary client liaison and project lead Supervise field crews and ensure high-quality data collection Requires travel to field sites, including out of state on occasion Coordinate CAD workflows and data processing across multiple platforms Conduct QA/QC reviews of deliverables Mentor junior staff and foster team development Market services throughout the industry Qualifications: Licenses & Certifications – Registered Land Surveyor or Land Surveyor in Training, Valid driver’s license, additional states licenses is a plus Experience – 6+ years of land surveying experience, including project management Technical Skills & Knowledge – AutoCAD Civil 3D, ORD, MicroStation Project & Client Management – MassDOT, NHDOT, RIDOT and VDOT experience along with the ability to drive future business Leadership – Bring expertise and knowledge to the team, willingness to grow professionally, mentor crews, and grow the business through relationships

GM2 is an established comprehensive engineering design, construction engineering and inspection, and survey firm seeking to hire a survey technician for a full-time position. Applicants should be familiar with boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, Right-of- Way surveys, use of GPS and robotic instruments, and the ability to work as a two-person crew. This position will require some out of state travel. GM2 offers Medical Insurance, 401(k), Life Insurance including Long-Term Disability and AD&D coverage, and paid PTO.  Requirements 1-2 years of experience Valid Driver's License Proficiency with Microstation/OpenRoads and/or Civil3D is not required but preferred.
