Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview: GM2 Associates, Inc is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Tampa, Florida region. The APM will work with project managers on a variety of projects varying in complexity, and manage smaller projects independently with guidance from the PM.  The APM will manage and function as coordinator and project liaison to the client, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders, throughout the project cycle. This position will maintain document control, manage databases and coordinate and track project activities and communications to ensure project goals are accomplished within prescribed time schedules and budget parameters. Travel to project sites or other GM2 branch offices is required. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with engineers, CAD designers, surveyors permitting specialists and contractors Assist in the preparation of and submittal of site plans, permit applications and technical documents Verify Contractor compliance including quality, safety, environmental and environmental material management programs. Facilitate internal and client meetings by scheduling, preparing agendas, and recording comprehensive meeting minutes. Liaise and coordinate with local jurisdictions and regulatory agencies to facilitate permit approvals Track project schedules and milestones using project management software (e.g., Monday application) Support procurement and coordination of third-party services, including surveys, Geotech reports, and specialty vendors (e.g., conveyor and equipment suppliers) Actively contributes to the execution of contracts including change order management / field change directives and management of schedules while adhering to industry best practices. Assist with the development of internal and external reporting including project budgeting, costs reports, project status reports to all stakeholders. Qualifications: Educational - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree from an accredited program. Experience – 2-4 years of experience in civil site development or industrial project coordination. Licenses & Certifications – PMP or equivalent Project Management Certification is preferred Technical Skills & Experience – Experience in MS Project, Procore, Primavera Contract Manager or similar change management software is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with permitting processes and site development standards in Florida is a plus. Project & Client Management - Proven history of successfully managing projects. Experience in maintaining client relationships. Excellent verbal, written communication skills and professionalism with clients. Leadership – Ability to collaboratively work with others at all levels in a multi-discipline team environment through thought leadership with exceptional analytical skills and effective communication skills.

Civil Engineers

GM2 is a growing, transportation-centric, engineering firm with eight office locations and ~200 employees. The firm offers a strong backlog of diverse work while continuing to sustain healthy growth. As part of the firm's engineering team you will work on an array of projects for a diverse client base.  Civil Engineer (0-3 Years of Experience):  This position requires an energetic, competent, self-starting engineer. The candidate must be interested in working as a member of a team of engineering professionals in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include: Preparing design calculations, engineering details, conceptual plans and quantity take-offs. Assisting in the preparation of reports and technical feasibility studies. Assisting in the preparation of construction documents including contract plans, specifications and construction cost estimates. Requirements B.S. Senior Civil Engineer

Position Overview: GM2 is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer with a passion for site civil land development. The position is in a fast-paced environment where you can lead teams, build lasting client relationships, and contribute to the growth of an expanding engineering department. If you're growth-minded and ready to take on challenging projects across Florida, we want to hear from you! We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our thriving Civil Engineering Department. In this key position, you will serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for site civil land development projects, performing and overseeing the preparation of construction documents, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet regulatory standards.   Key Responsibilities: Act as the Engineer of Record for site civil engineering projects plans, specifications, and construction documents. Manage and lead design teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Build and maintain strong client relationships, including preparing engineering proposals to secure new opportunities. Obtain necessary permits from jurisdictional agencies across Florida. Collaborate with contractors during construction phases, providing oversight, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance. Contribute to department growth by mentoring junior staff and identifying opportunities for expansion.   Qualifications: Educational - Bachelor's in Civil Engineering. Experience - Technical and professional knowledge in storm water calculation, environmental resources permitting, land development permitting, site permitting, utility and infrastructure design, land and site development design. Licenses & Certifications - Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida. Technical Skills & Knowledge - Strong knowledge of Florida's regulatory environment, including permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, stormwater modeling tools). Project & Client Management - Proven track record in managing design teams, client relationships, and preparing engineering proposals. Leadership - Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
