GM2 is a well-established, growing engineering firm with a strong backlog of work. The firm is transportation centric with an array of projects from a diverse client base. Projects include major highway reconstruction, PEL studies, intersection reconstruction, pavement rehabilitation, and complete streets. Highway Engineer: Highway Engineers with 0-5 years of project experience; preferably with a combination of road- and highway design experience. Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, performing calculations, preparing contract drawings and specifications, estimating costs and materials, shop drawing review, and construction administration. Prepare and manage project budgets, track invoices, and ensure financial targets are met. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including FDOT, counties, municipalities, and other agencies. Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, Letters of Response, and other marketing materials for PD&E project pursuits. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within one year of employment is preferred, but not required based on qualifications. Minimum of 8 years of experience in PD&E studies, with a strong understanding of NEPA requirements. Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams on complex assignments. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a variety of clients. Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills. Experience in marketing and managing a variety of projects for FDOT, counties, municipalities, and other agencies.
