Water Resource Project Engineer GM2 seeks a Water Resource Project Engineer to join our team with the ability to collaborate with both municipal and state clients in Connecticut and Massachusetts to prepare hydrologic, hydraulic, and stormwater management reports, studies, and designs. Responsibilities to include: Design and analysis of water resources engineering project elements in riverine and tidal conditions, including hydrologic, hydraulic, floodplain, and scour studies, channel stability and realignment design, scour countermeasure design, and fisheries enhancements. Design and analyze stormwater management systems, including closed drainage systems, culverts, bridge deck drainage and roadside ditches. Develop and oversee plans, specifications, and technical reports and ensure complete, accurate work, in accordance with good engineering practice. Develop technical resolution of design problems through field investigation, inspections, detailed design, and peer review of design computations. Prepares and/or reviews applications and supporting documents for Federal, State and Local permitting pertaining to floodplain management and NFIP requirements, wetlands, and watercourses (tidal and freshwater), and water quality. Work closely in a team environment on multi-discipline projects. Desired Skills and Experience: 4-10 years of professional experience with a focus in the field of highway, bridge, and roadway design on municipal, state, and other agency infrastructure projects PE license or the ability to obtain one within 12 months preferred, Bachelor of Science (BSCE) in Civil Engineering Working knowledge of CTDOT and/or MassDOT standards, specifications, and procedures Strong sense of organization, attention to detail, QA/QC, and time management Ability to initiate and lead projects Ability to present project analysis
